Another holiday another LAN. This October Celebrate the fine tradition of public holidays that exist soley to skip work and come to LANbor Day. As always, unlimited soft drinks for event patrons.

Location: Harry Heath Room Building 2

Description: LAN (and other) Gaming

Required Equipment: Computer (case, screen, keyboard, mouse, associated cables, network card, headphones; No Speakers!) We supply network infrastructure and Cat5 cable

Cost: $5 for each day. Monday doesn't count. Showing up for a few hours is also free. Pay on the day.

Extras: We provide unlimited Coke and Water to event patrons.

The EGG computer fleet is available to those not 1337 enough to bring their own rig.
A few computers will be left unbooked so showing up without a booking or a PC of your own is completely viable.
If you are booking an EGG PC please make sure you show up and use it.

This event is for members only. We can sign you up on the day. If you are not a UTS Student, please sign up beforehand and alert us about your intention to attend this event, so we can put you on the EGG Externals list (this means you can get into the uni after hours). This process takes time so sign up early if you plan on coming.

Avast! Intarrnational Talk Like a Pirate Day be fallin on a Sunday this year. We will be celebratin it one week later on Friday the 24th. As always, celebrations involve the Glasshouse Barr and rum. I invite ye to join us there, don your favorite pirate clothes, add the word Arrr* to yer speakin and drown yer sorrows. Yarr.

**EGG sadly cannot officially condone acting like a pirate but, well, ye get the idea.
***The special prize is probably more rum. ye can never have too much rum.

Event date change. This event is now running on Sunday the 19th of Septembarr.

Do you like food? Well EGG is running a barbeque. Show up with your favorite meats, cook them and eat them. A winning formula and a chance to engage in unorthodox activities like seeing the sun. EGG will not be providing food for this event, just the BBQ upon which to cook it.

Starting this week EGG will be selling tickets for our Bioshock 2 Charity Raffle. All money raised through this event goes directly to Child's Play to support the Sydney Children's Hospital. We will be holding a BBQ on the day of the draw which will also see all proceeds going to Child's Play.

Tickets for the raffle will be available for purchase at any EGG event and also the UTS Union desk.

Tickets: $2 each

Prizes: First prize will recieve a limited edition sealed Bioshock 2 bottle which was found on Bondi Beach and is filled with various posters (the bottles did fetch anywhere from $100-$400 but have since disappeared from the market) as well as your choice of a copy of Bioshock 2 for PS3 or Xbox360.

There are also three runner up prizes of Bioshock 2 for PS3 or 360 (we have two copies for each console and they will be awarded in the order tickets are drawn).

Draw Date: Prizes will be drawn on the 10th of September, 2pm at Consoles on the Concourse. This will coincide with our Charity BBQ which will be run alongside the draw on the Concourse/Alumni Green.

EGG would like to extend our thanks to GAME for kindly donating the copies of Bioshock 2 and to our very own Seakas for the bottle donation. This event would not be possible without their help.

Non-Electronic Games day. Every second Sunday (Approximately), we will meet at the Ashmore Smith Room for a generic non-electronic games day. Each event has a special theme but members are welcome to do their own thing too. This event replaces the dedicated EGG Miniatures Painting Day.

Time: 12:00PM - late (5:00 PM till late for the 11th of July)

Location: The Ashmore Smith Room (Otherwise known as The Bunker)

Activity: All forms of non-electronic gaming; board games, card games tabletop wargames, pen and paper roleplay, etc.

With Consoles on the Concourse not happening, the EGG membership will go straight to the Ashmore Smith Room (or Bunker) to relax and wind down at the end of the week.

Consoles will restart Friday the 5th of March!

Consoles on the Concourse is one of the longest running EGG events. Every Friday, we take the EGG TV's and consoles up to the concourse, set them up and spend the afternoon playing games on them. They are set up all afternoon so show up and play a few games between classes.
