Favorite Game: Too many to mention but... Baldur Gate I & II or maybe Fallout 2
Most hated Game: FAR too many to mention may be the Sims... or WoW (lost too many friends to this one! )
What video game character would you be and why?: None... Heroes always have to save the world just by altruism and Big bad evil tend to lose too often... Maybe the merchant, you know the sneaky little bastard smart one who keep selling items to the Heroe even if is the only hope of the whole world...
Weapon of choice? SpellBook you never figure how potent it is before it land right on your nose...
Anything else? Not much to say... I'm looking forward meeting everyone (specially the N.E.G.G).

Most hated Game: that would probably be that one free MMO, it's name escapes me, but it's flash, starts with an R, and looks like some mix of puke, pixels and crap.
What video game character would you be and why?: The player character in any Pokemon game <_< seriously, that'd kick ass, having little pokeslaves to do my bidding etc.
Weapon of choice? In RPGs, ranged weapons or daggers, in Shooters, Snipers or SMGs, in real life, right, down, a button, escape safely.
Anything else? Looking forward to the LANs, and generally uni itself. Hates the 3 character minimum, as it means i cant use my usual screen name... grrrr.....

Most hated Game: Pokemon, used to play it as a kid, and kinda made me feel left out cuz all my uber hacking buddies would complete the pokedex in a couple of days and I was left running around looking for pokes.
What video game character would you be and why?: I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the dude from Mass Effect, but I would love some alien poon.

I'm not actually new at all, but I figure now's as good a time to re-introduce myself as any.

Course and Year: B Eng (ICT - Software), Dip. Eng. Prac, 5th (and hopefully final) year.
Favorite Console/Platform: PS3, PC, Amiga
Favorite Game: For the electronic side, the Touhou Project series. On the non-electronic side, Shadowrun (the pen & paper RPG, not that travesty that Microsoft saw fit to unleash upon an unsuspecting public).
Most hated Game: Noah's Ark 3D. (Think Wolfenstein 3D but replace William Blazkowicz with Noah, Nazis with irritated animals, ammo with food pellets and medkits with bible quizzes.)
What video game character would you be and why?: El Presidente from the Tropico series.
Weapon of choice? Pax Probliscum

Course and Year: Bachelor of Forensic Biology in Biomedical Science, 1st Year
Favorite Console/Platform: PC. I feel nothing comes close to the flexibility of the keyboard and the awesomeness of the mouse.
Favorite Game: Haven't played new ones since years. I did like HL2, HL2:E2, Far Cry, GTA:SA, NFS:UG2, NFS:MW, Hitman Contracts, SWAT 4, Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcase and Jedi Academy, Splinter Cell, SC:PT, Deus Ex, DE:IW, Thief, Thief 3, C&C: Red Alert 2, C&C: Generals, Ground Control II etc. Oh and I love Unreal Tournaments, especially the first and the classic - UT99, which I feel is also the best so far with UT2004 coming in second.
Most hated Game: I never got around to playing RPG's such as Warcraft, WOW and as such developed a disliking towards them but the right company is probably all that is needed to revert that.
What video game character would you be and why?: None, most of them tend to be in too much trouble already and I don't like the altruistic nature of most of them, just like Erwan mentioned. Plus, I'm guessing 'respawning' may not be one of the best experiences in the world.
Weapon of choice? Depending on the enemy and AI difficulty. In UT99, the Shock rifle, Sniper rifle, Rocket Launcher and instagib shock rifle.
Anything else? I've always loved PC gaming but never had, in sufficient supply, either the games, the hardware, the people, fast enough internet or the time to fully develop it to a level I'd wanted to. I am hoping things will change in every aspect now.

What video game character would you be and why?: solid snake...kicking ass and taking names ftw
Weapon of choice? probably have to be the the Scar-H with silencer on MW2. decent damage, good accuracy, its pretty deadly and would come in handy for the impending zombie apocalypse

Anything else?[/quote] Yeah sure. I've been a gamer since my dad bought home an apple IIe. We had the 2mb hard drive, it was awesome. I've had 286's, 386's and pentium 2s. I used to have a freaking GOLD NES, but it was stolen . A few years back I started playing WoW. Joined a few guilds, and as my friends started playing we made our own guilds. Some of these were quite successful and being in large, social, successful guilds were some of the best gaming times I had. Don't get me wrong, the vast majority of WoW was mind numbingly boring, but taking down a raid boss with 20-40 friends (IRL or not) was grand. I quit WoW a while back, but recently been missing the comradeship of the guilds. So here I am...

Most hated Game: DotA. Also movie tie-in games.
What video game character would you be and why?: Link, he has this huge arsenal of shiny weapons and tools that I want. Particularly the hookshot, although long-term use will probably wreck your arm.
Weapon of choice? Steyr AUG. This has nothing to do with Counterstrike, by the way.

Favorite Console/Platform: Anything that plays The Legend of Zelda - GBC/GBA, N64, DS
Favorite Game: Pretty much any of the Legend of Zelda games on the platforms mentioned above (especially Link's Awakening). I also like Mario; the Original Super Mario Bros. for the NES would have to be my favourite. Pokemon was addictive back in the day along with Tetris. On the PC I loved Commander Keen in the 90s. Loved the Tycoon games too; Rollercoaster, Zoo and Ski Resort Tycoon. The Crash Bandicoot games on Playstation were pretty sweet. As you can see I'm a bit primitive when it comes to gaming. I have yet to experience the Xbox and Wii in full form, I've only played them a couple of times. But I'm hoping to encounter new stuff, which I'm sure I will throughout the semester
Most hated Game: Out of the games I own it would have to be 'The Quest for Camelot' for the GBC. The weapons are very frustrating and the gameplay is terrible. I still don't think I have ever finished the game...
What video game character would you be and why?: Link...cause he's awesome!
Weapon of choice? Boomerangs, arrows, swords...I'm not very good with guns...
Anything else? I've started to cross-stitch game stuff, mainly characters like Link and Mario...totally pathetic...haha

Favorite Console/Platform: Currently addicted to my PS3 but my PS2 is my overall favourite

Favorite Game: *Insert long list of games here* Though if i had to choose one, I couldn't, it's a toss-up between Final Fantasy Tactics or Gran Turismo 3 or Heroes of Might and Magic 3 or Total Annihilation. I really can't choose ;-; Micro Machines V3 and Melty Blood rack up pretty high too though :s

Most hated Game: I hate Halo's community as everytime I get around to playing it online I always end up playing against arrogant squeaky 10 year olds and well.. yeah.. although the game is quite fun on LAN with friends. My definate most hated game for a stupid reason would be Ace Combat 6 because they never ported it to the PS3. WHY!?!? I try to stay away from games which I won't like but I guess a game I really dislike would be Ragnarok Online. Too much clicking without having a good atmosphere to the game. Was a grindfest from level 1 and got over it really quickly.

What video game character would you be and why? As much of a pansy he may seem during the first game, I think that being Sora from Kingdom Hearts would be pretty cool. Other than all those complex plot threads getting thrown around the universe, it would be pretty awesome going to town on wierd shadow creatures in various disney worlds. And his final drive form looks badass

Weapon of choice? Debug Mode Hacks? If not that, the BFG from Doom works too. It seems to have some kind of telepathic 'only kill things that are trying to kill you like demons and mutant piglings and giant red fluff balls'. If it had to be a realistic gun then I'd want a Beretta pistol or a variant of it. I think the design looks pretty slick though I've never seen one IRL. I've only shot hunting rifles :'(

Not really, I spend almost all of my freetime playing video games so thats where most of my interests lie. Recently I'm trying to learn how to draw so hopefully I can get somewhere with that :s
